Know How Manager – CDI
Knowledge Management (KM) within Loyens & Loeff is a global team of professionals with various expertise, which supports Loyens & Loeff’s global expertise groups and specialized teams. Knowledge Management collects and organizes legal and tax content and information, encourages knowledge sharing and helps enhance know-how tools.
Position within the organization:
The Know How Manager Luxembourg is a local support function, who reports to the firm wide Head of Knowledge Management.
General Description:
The Know How Manager Luxembourg has responsibility for effective implementation of programs and activities that are part of the firm wide KM strategy, in which local priorities are included as well. The Know How Manager Luxembourg is expected to provide guidance and coordination within the Luxembourg office for the development of information services and knowledge management. The Know How Manager Luxembourg works closely with the local expertise groups to encourage participation and guides and coordinates the local KM team.
Key responsibilities include:
The Know How Manager Luxembourg is responsible for:
- a team of Information Professionals, that is responsible for information provision services including a hardcopy library, external databases, intranet and current awareness services;
- implementation and support of various global knowledge systems for managing and disseminating knowledge and information;
- content structure, development and management, including updating knowledge platforms with accurate and relevant information, monitoring databases, gathering and indexing of information, and management of local taxonomy and thesaurus;
- working with application developers to communicate specifications for custom intranet and other application development third-party software;
- project management relating to KM initiatives;
- translating local business needs within the strategic plans developed at KM firmwide level;
- learning & development.
Education and level of experience:
- has a university degree in information management with an interest in the legal field, or university degree in law, with an interest in information management;
- has several years of experience in the field of information and knowledge management in business and professional services;
- has extensive experience in information retrieval and monitoring, as well as in dissemination of information;
- experienced in the development and realization of knowledge management programs;
- experienced with project management.
